a blabberful.

-exams next week. NEXT WEEK. how crazy it THAT...i can't believe it either! not ready at all.... :(
may 29- bio. calc
june 1-chem
june 12- exsci (so much to learn in so little time....)

-got tutored in Calc. i think i understand graphs and asymptotes. i think. need to practice.

-YTS. Youth Takeover Sunday-- went well i think, i'm so proud of the team!! improved SO MUCH since the first practice...and having a new bassist and pianist. wow...they were ALL so amazing. cheers to fiona, john, melissa, peter, edwin, and james....and of course alex who coached us the whole way. XD i have to say not many of us were very confident, but had replaced that with nervousness, since it's a first for a sunday and all (except for fiona, i guess)...and i was shaking so much i could breathe deep...but in the end, it went well. the experience of seeing so many just WORSHIP...wow.

-and God always provides. [this calls for another :D ] had to do children's sunday school after the service, for which i hadn't even thought of anything...but i was told to give them coloring sheets for a coloring contest for VBS. yay, and it lasted the whole time. we even had some jokes and crazy IQ puzzles, (none of which i could solve..haha). josh is a genius. i had fun, i hope they did too.
find the next symbol in this sequence:

-softball practice was amazingly cold and windy. BUT it was good anyways, we got to practice the stuff we'd already learned and did more batting. i want to be able to hit on green...need batting gloves. haha my hands were so numb AND painful they stayed in the shape of the bat handle for a while. it feels so rare now to have practice...i dont see how i went to every practice last year since may, but this year's schooling gots priority over softball. :( so when school ends...i'll be there! at every practice...except for the ones in june 18-22. :P if i can't help it. hope leaders can talk more often. praying for O's....

-most people know already...but i'm not going to prom. just the expense, and i wasn't too excited about going...have plenty of acquaintances but i wouldn't feel comfortable spending the night with them. :P i know i'll regret it. but the deadline has passed, so on june 22 i'll be out with a friend who's also not going to prom. well, quality time. sorry to carmen and deb :( but i know you guys would have a great time anyways! feeling the karina-type parties....feel like dressing up and going out for no reason at all!

-going to athletic banquet though. my friend lied both our ways into taking the night school exam early so we could go. (they both landed on june 7) so, going to athletic.

I'm trading my sorrows
I'm trading my shame
I'm laying them down for the JOY of the LORD.

I'm trading my sickness
I'm trading my pain
I'm laying them down for the JOY of the LORD.

YES, LORD....

I'm pressed by not crushed,
persecuted, not abandoned
struck down, but not destroyed.
And I'm blessed beyond the curse for his promis will endure
That his joy's gonna be my strength.
THOUGH THE SORROW MAY LAST FOR THE NIGHT
HIS JOY COMES IN THE MORNING.

that's exactly how i felt from friday to saturday. every day's meant to be a second chance for me to glorify God....seek him first, before doing anything else....let the JOY of knowing JESUS be my STRENGTH for the day. step by step...experiencing God in each step.

"The whole earth is filled with your glory, Lord..."

for a while now i haven't been consistent with my dates with God, due to distractions and work. but the wonderful thing is, even though i haven't made as much an effort to spend time with Him, it seems he spends time with me anyways...

He's everywhere, revealing himself in His creation and through any situation...just walk outside. away from the computer...and just sit and stare at all the beauty around you. have you felt the wind, or seen the very greeen grass and all the flowers and the sky?? sunsets? the RAIN from yesterday (admit it, you complained about it didn't you!)?? The God who planned every leaf on earth planned YOU and ME and loves us simply cuz we're his creation. there's nothing we can do to stop this love, cuz we're never gonna stop being his creation and He's never gonna stop being our Maker. i think i've repeated this at least 5 times in my bloggings, but it's too wonderful to not repeat it again! >.<

"37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." [Romans 8:37-39]

so back to "he's everywhere..."
during night school one night, i was able to share the gospel with a friend. it was because he was laying down all these contradictions that i didn't really know the answer to, but he eventually asked about the core of our beliefs--how jesus became our salvation. that totally made my night! even though the answers i gave weren't the best of explanations, it was something. you see...God even shows himself in chemistry class!

and this week i've had to present a song in keyboard class, and explain why we liked it, what's so special about it, etc. so i shared Chris tomlin's "Way i was Made"...and was able to explain to the class what we call worship and stuff. but the coolest thing is, today another classmate presented a song in Tamil, about Christ's sacrifice for us! and she even included a couple verses in her handout (namely, John 14:6 "I am the truth, the way, and the life..." and John 3:16 "for God so loved the world..") and totally shared the gospel through that. :D and it's awsome to just see that there are other Christians around you!

and God's been totally giving me the words to say lately...HIS word. whenever i needed to encourage someone or to just say a point, verses pop up in my head. i'm telling you, kids, GO TO SUNDAY SCHOOL! everything you learn is applicable somehow, someday. you can't defend your faith if you don't know what you're defending!

========-------------==============--------========---------=========-----
Our soccer season ended at the quarter finals yesterday, in the cold, pouring rain. we played Mowat A, one of the best teams in the league. last year they beat us 8-1 or 8-0 (also during rain/hail/negative degrees), BUT this year we only lost by 2. :D one of the hardest games, i think, cuz the wind blew so hard, the rain blinded our sight, and the other team was just too darn good! everyone was soaked from head to toe, most of us had sweaters underneath our jerseys, with doubled our weight, etc etc. hehe i barely ran, shame on me, but it was pretty cool. how is it that the weather changes so drastically!? 25 degrees one day, thunderstorm the next, and it's all sunny today again! :O God's got a sense of humour :P Mac girls: 3-1-1

barely been to any O's practices, cuz got so much to do...but hopefully this will change once exams end!! 2 weeks and they start.. eek.

YTS coming up in 9 days!! aaaahhhhh.....[worried][nervous][undeserving...]

Mother's day in 2 days! need to actually do something this time!

do you ever get those days when you just don't feel like smiling? thats this weekend for me....i also tend to be extremely corny when i'm trying to mask my unsmiling-ness. :/ er...i don't even know. i love to smile and i love to laugh (it uses less muscle, too), but sometimes the tiredness gets to me. or i'll have dramatic mood swings and be super happy (and corny) one moment and fall off into the unsmiling, want-to-throw-something mood on the next.
BLEH, i say. BLEH.

i praise God for my bros in Christ though. thanks for being there.

it's almost 11:30 and i have to wake up at 6 for practice at 7:30. we're at the top of our pool (i think). so we get into playoffs this week...yes we only had four games...needing energy. and needing some honey water for my parched throat.

i'm doing too much. at the wrong times. like blogging right now, and emailing a moment ago when i shoulda been doing my calc. BLEH.

i love softball. and the Oracles.
"My heart is in the shape of an O"...so is the large bruise on my thigh.
